Learn how Zyclee uses your primary income to create pay cycles that help you budget and manage money between payments.
A pay cycle is the period between your income payments. Zyclee automatically calculates your pay cycles based on your primary income's frequency and payment dates.
Your marked primary income determines the cycle frequency
Cycles match your income frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.)
See exactly what expenses you need to cover each cycle
Income: $4,000 on the 1st of each month
Cycle: January 1st - January 31st, February 1st - February 28th, etc.
Income: $1,800 every two weeks on Fridays
Cycle: Friday Jan 5th - Thursday Jan 18th, Friday Jan 19th - Thursday Feb 1st, etc.
Income: $800 every Monday
Cycle: Monday - Sunday, repeating weekly
In your Overview page, you'll see cycle cards that show:
When the current and next cycles start and end
All expenses that need to be paid during each cycle
How much money you'll have left after paying expenses
Countdown to when each expense needs to be paid
Know exactly how much you can spend without running out of money before your next paycheck.
See upcoming expenses to avoid spending money you'll need for bills.
Understand which cycle has more available money for bigger expenses.
Clear visibility into your financial obligations eliminates guesswork and worry.
Check that your primary income has the correct frequency and start date. The first transaction date determines when cycles begin.
You must mark one income source as 'primary' in your income settings. Without this, Zyclee cannot calculate pay cycles.
If your income varies significantly, choose the most predictable source as primary, or use a conservative estimate for budgeting purposes.
